Read about naturalism in
"The Sacred Depths of Nature"
by the Cell-Biologist
Ursula Goodenough and in other books
which I take citations from or reviews about on my
links to naturalism books.
Scientific naturalism = evolutionary naturalism:
all that is existing will in principle be
explainable using the scientific method.
We, 'The Friends' strive to be true to
objective reality in all of our interpretations.
When 'Friends' use the word 'God',
then we refer to the experience of "Life itself
as the holy presence" which is one of the names
we give objective reality seen as "the immanent Friend".
We relate to "Life itself" in a religious way, without
ascribing any supernatural power to objective reality
seen as our 'God'. Our religious naturalism is a
universal life stance that intends to stay within
scientific naturalism!
Religious evolutionary naturalists:
We are attached to Life itself and to
each other by respect or affection.
We use those intimate words that show
our deep reverence and love for Life itself.
Objective reality feels within us
as "The Holy Presence", seen as 'God'.
Description of 'God' should strive to
be true to the objective reality.
We choose to serve Life itself with love
through our good thoughts, good words
and good deeds cause it is the right
thing to do, an universal righteousness,
an ethical way to live.
